DAMON TECHNOLOGIES ANNOUNCES A NEW PROGRAMMER PRODUCTIVITY TOOL FOR THE IBM MIDRANGE PLATFORM

STE allows the developer to test and debug stored procedures

(June 20, 2003) - Damon Technologies, Inc. announces the launch of STE™, a new programmer productivity tool for the IBM AS/400 and iSeries. STE (Stored Procedure Test Environment) allows the developer to test and debug stored procedures in a native iSeries environment.

STE enables the iSeries developer to invoke stored procedures from a standard iSeries 5250 interface. The user is prompted for the parameters necessary to call the stored procedure. STE then displays the result set or sets to the user, as well as any returned parameters.

"STE is an incredible tool for testing stored procedures. Before STE there was not a simple way to execute a stored procedure and view the result set. With STE the programmer can set up a debug session for a stored procedure, execute STE, and with great ease begin testing code. We have found this tool to not only decrease development time, but improve communication between the Web developer and the developer of the business logic." said Schadd Gray, president, Damon Technologies.
